    Be sure to do an ROI calculation of battery storage systems. Keep in mind the batteries only hold a certain amount of electricity, and may not be enough to satisfy the overall needs of your home when you go with a battery. Batteries also only last a specific amount of time and eventually have to be replaced – by the time the ROI pays you back it may be time to replace the battery again, figure the 20 cent savings per KWH of drawing from your battery during peak hours 4-9PM. YOU as the consumer can also choose not to do laundry, run AC, etc. during the peak hours and save yourself money rather than buying an expensived battery system.     does the battery only charge through solar only? if it also charge from the grid at night it would be self defeating.
