Department of Energy awards UToledo $5.7 million for solar research

[TEXT] The U.S. Department of Energy awarded UToledo $5.7 million advance solar energy research. [TEXT] Two projects at the University will use the investment to further develop [TEXT] the efficiency of solar cells – and bring those changes to market. [KAPTUR] These dollars were awarded on a competitive basis they’re not formula dollars you had to really be good and you are really good and in fact –  the best in the country. [TEXT] UToledo professors and lead researchers Yanfa Yan and Michael Heben [TEXT] will continue to build on the University’s 30-year history in solar technology.
