  5. AMRiYcad says:

    They needed to enclose the the electric/wiry part of the night light in thin peices of wood nailed or stapled together at the corners and to the base peice of wood with rubber strips glued to the inside so the hamster wouldn't kill itself getting electricuted or chew wire -*-;;;;;;;;
    Also, putting an actual hamster on the list of supplies MIGHT have been just a tad important. ;;;;;;;;;

  73. jetstar5555 says:

    what about OWNING a hamster

  74. MrCorvairGuy says:

This is an exact copy of a proof of concept done by some guys at an alternative energy website years ago. (Can't post the URL but search "Hamster powered night light" on Google.) The idea was to see if a hammy could power a light and how much output it could generate. It's more of an adult science fair project and nothing to be taken seriously.

  75. neenerbubbles says:

Can I use regular magnets for this?

  76. Cocoa the Hamster says:

I would not try try this and put it into my hamsters cage because they never showed the hamster in the wheel so who know what might happen?
Also what is they chew the cords or whatever they might do.
Also do not use mesh wheels for your hamster because after a long time after running on it it could hurt there little paws and give them bumble foot.

  77. Nada Laguna says:

Wait, what type of electrical wire did he use? PLEASE TELL ME!!!

  78. serenity davis says:

Im doing this for my science fair project but am going to take a few precautions as many of the things you guys pointed out are potentially life threatening.

  79. sihui tea says:

Hi,I am dong this for science project but I failed to make the LED lighted. I use a multimeter to test the volter and get only 0.1~0.2v only, what can I do to increase the voltage? Do you use a motor?

  80. SerafinaSquish says:

Am i the only onw who judges the wheel? That wheel is NOT SAFE!

  81. uncle redd says:

Your mother was a hamster, and your father smelt like elderberries!

  82. uncle redd says:

Or replace the LED lights with an extension.

  83. Mandy Sharp says:

I be worried that my hamster would bite the parts that's stuck to the wheel

  84. Conor McCarthy says:

How many hamsters would I need to power my pc

I bought excellent instructions from inplix website. Just google inplix and start your journey with woodworking

It's simple. Just go to InpliX and make it yourself.

I am pretty sure you can still buy handbook with all details you need on woodprix.

  92. Egor Mrinskiy says:

  96. Loyu Qcy says:

how much volt it can reach ?

  97. Doggo Lover077 says:

I'm pretty sure this is dangerous.. Also, this wheel is awful. Hamsters should only have solid surface wheels, not mesh or wire ones.

  98. anar kissed says:

This is a great project for homeschoolers. That have a pet hamster. Or mouse or rat. Also, it could be scaled up to cat or small dog size. Or even kid sized. Whoa, now wouldn't that make an awesome video? Find out how much power a kid generates on a wheel?

  99. Nannette Battista says:

Nice, nice, very nice. However you can make it yourself. Just google woodprix and learn how to do it easily.
