I still remember the first time I ever heard this song. My dad was driving me to a little league game and it came on the radio. I was hooked instantly. 25 years later it's still one of my favorites.

  18. warren Stephens says:

“The heart has the most powerful electromagnetic field within the human energy field and there are more nerves going from the heart to the brain than going the other way. The latter is indicative of a sparkling truth that has been long forgotten – the brain is not the focus for intelligence within the body – the heart is.”“This ´world´ began to forget it was Oneness, like a dream forgetting it is the dreamer. With this amnesia came the phenomenon we call fear, an expression of All Possibility that cannot manifest within the balance of Oneness. Fear only comes with the illusion of division and separation when consciousness perceives itself as part and not the whole. Fear is the shadow of illusory disconnection.”

  19. Jamal John Santana says:

Throwing Copper is truly a masterpiece, there are only a few albums that I can sit down and listen from start to finish without skipping over any of the songs. Sometimes I still listen to this album in its entirety. Sadly everything else they have done since throwing copper has been total crap.

  51. BaronNate says:

This came out when my then wife was pregnant, I was so worried this was a message to me that she wouldn't make it.  23 years later, I have a wonderful son who rocks and my ex and me  are great friends.  This song brings back so many memories.

Can't see why people think this band is somehow Christian. This song is about Metempsychosis. It's the occult doctrine of reincarnation, as soon as the old man dies he's "reborn" in as the "baby down the hall".

  55. Mark Canales says:

Everytime I hear music like this from the 90's, I think of how shitty music has become nowadays!!! Where's a freaking hot tub time machine when you need one???

The greatest band of the 90s… doubtful. However, this is possibly a strong contender for the finest song of the 1990s – and one of the greatest of all time.

I still remember the first time I heard this song. I was fifteen, and my mom and I were at the laundromat. This came on the TV and all I could do was stand there, holding a basket of clothes, open-mouthed at the beauty of the video and the profoundness of the lyrics. I'm almost forty now, and I still listen to this song at least once a day. LIVE is my favorite band, and always will be.
